Siem reap (possible worst post ever?)

So just as I'm going to type up this post I realize that I didnt really take any pictures at all of the city!
I spent a week there cause everything was super cheap and i needed to save some money after all the trekking and stuff in Sen Monorom. So I will do my best to describe what I didnt take pictures of and then fill space by tell you of my next posts :)

There is one main touristy part in the big city of Siem Reap. Most of the hotels and guest houses are all centred around "Pub Street" which is a main street of pubs and restaurants surrounded by alley's full of other restaurants and massage places.

Here is a picture of one of probably the 6 nights markets that they have around Pub Street

Here is my dorm bed that cost $1 a night. on a balcony above the kitchen and just a thin mattress with a mosquito net but I guess what you pay for.

I also hung around Siem Reap so long because I wanted to be some where cool for Christmas. So we ended up having a buffet dinner at the hostel with a all tinsel christmas tree.

Then he head over to pub street to the famous "Angkor What" bar and went to a couple other places before calling it a night

on the way back me and my friend (yellow glasses) heard "Good feeling - flo rida" playing from the roof top bar and couldnt resist so we sprinted up 8 flights of stairs and danced for about another hour because they were playing really good music.
They also had a really good bubble machine which made it seem like it was snowing.
a really magical moment which I missed capturing because my camera was in my friends bag :/
for some reason we were the only ones on the dance floor along with one other girl from New Zealand.
We successfully managed to get one eastern European guy who was sitting by himself to come awkwardly sway with us while we danced and had a really great night.

Other things I did in Siem Reap you will hear about in the posts to come!

Bali - Ubud and Kuta

Bali is beautiful I wish that we could have spent more time there but we ended up getting stuck on gili. To make up we spent 3 nights in a place called Ubud and did a day tour where we saw soooo much. We saw a traditional Balinese dancing. it was really cool cause there was no instruments. The men who were seated all around chanted and made a whole bunch of different sounds it sounded like there was music coming from all around you. They also made the setting by changing how they were sitting and moving around. at one point they turned into a snake that was transformed from an arrow that was shot by the evil king. afterword there was a man who was dressed as a horse danced around on burning coconut husks. i didnt really understand the reasoning but it was impressive all the same. We went to a bunch of different temples which were all very intricate. Harvested some rice with some old ladies who tried to charge me for it after. The s...

Than Tan Hotsprings - Hue

After an over night bus to the city Hue from Hanoi and checking into a hostel me and some people who were on the Halong Bay tour with me decided that we should do something with our day and that we were going to go to one of the hot springs just outside the city. We asked the lady that worked at our hostel and she said that she could book a taxi for us. We decided that we could get one cheaper somewhere else so we wandered down the street only to find out that we couldnt. So we went back to her and asked for the taxi again. 10 min later a minibus came to pick us up. We thought it would be better anyways because some taxi's cant be trusted and thought this was a safer option. The drive there was really long. we went through little villages and many dirt road. 45 min later we arrived at the hot springs. I read online that there would be some sort of entrance fee which we were fine with but once inside the building by the gate we thought something was off when it said it was 170...
