Air Asia is nothing like Cathay Pacific. well they both have to do with planes but you know what I mean.
Booking with Cathay is kind of more expensive upfront but then you get to choose all these different options to personalize your trip.
With Air Asia they are tricky. You find your flight like normal, then you pick a seat, say how much your bag weighs, say what meal you want and other stuff like that. then you get to the payment and realize that they added charge for each of those things on top of their seemingly moderate price. So I went back and re-did the booking taking off a bunch of things, somehow I missed taking off the meal though. It ended up working out good cause I let myself sleep in cause I got woken up so many times during the night and missed breakfast. There was no in fight entertainment but if you were to look at a picture of the inside of the plane you might think there was. on the back of every seat where a TV usually is there is an advertisement you get to look at the whole flight.
Thankfully the flight was only about an hour. The seatbelt sign was only off for about 15 min and then the plan started to descend for landing.
Landing in Chiang Mai I could tell that this was going to be much better than Bangkok
