I'm so happy that i choose to fly with Cathay
pacific! well worth the money, the staff on this plane are so nice. even being in economy i feel like i am in first class. I'm sitting way at the back and next to this really nice old guy with an old school cd player. he isn't in his seat most of the time though, just wanders around the plane which is a good idea cause my butt is starting to hurt and my legs are falling asleep.
Lots of food, a secret snack bar, drinks whenever you want them. and the TV's. Its pretty much a computer with a bunch of movies, TV show, music, games and pretty much everything other than the internet. so far i watched/played:
The only bad thing i can think of is that they have the old headphone plug in so you cant use your own headphones, but they give you free ones, so i don't really get it.
The view (and my lunch) :
The flight from Vancouver to Hong Kong turned out to be a lot better than the flight from Hong Kong to Bangkok. The TV’s on the second plane sucked, and by that time my messed up sleep schedule had caught up to me so i was kind of drowsy but couldn't sleep. Also i got stuck sitting right in the middle of a tourist group from china of 30 people so they were all talking to each other over me all the time.
The Hong Kong airport isn't very nice at all, just really big and a lot of shops/ stores. nothing as pretty as the Vancouver Airport. The Bangkok airport is about the same too. i don't know the actual layout but it seemed like it was just one long line and you had to walk forever to get from the terminal to the baggage claim. Entry into the country was surprisingly easy, just had to fill out a small forum and they looked at your passport. I guess if you are doing something illegal they will get you on the way out.
